Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
