AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
