EXHORT, then, [O Prophet, all men:] for, by thy Sustainer's grace, thou art neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
