Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
