Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
