(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And ease for me my task 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
