The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 but they gave the lie to Our Signs, to all of them. Thereupon We seized them with the seizing of the Most Mighty, the Most Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
