The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
