The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
