The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
