O believers, devour not usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear you God; haply so you will prosper. 130 And have fear of the Fire which awaits those who deny the Truth. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten for the pardon of your Lord, and for Paradise extending over the heavens and the earth, laid out for those who take heed for themselves and fear God, 133 Those who expend in weal and woe, and the repressors of rage and the pardoners of men; and Allah loveth the doers of good. 134 And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. 135 These it is who shall have as their reward forgiveness from their Sustainer, and gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide: and how excellent a reward for those who labour! 136 Different traditions existed in the past. Travel in the land and find out about the fate of those who rejected the Truth. 137 This is an explanation for mankind, a guidance and an advice to the pious. 138 So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Or did you suppose you should enter Paradise without God know who of you have struggled and who are patient? 142 For, indeed, you did long for death [in God's cause] before you came face to face with it; and now you have seen it with your own eyes! 143
