This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
