O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease and those who spread rumors in al-Madinah do not cease, We will surely incite you against them; then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little. 60 cursed they shalt be, and wheresoever they are come upon they shall be seized and slaughtered all -- 61 Such was the law of God among those before you; and you will not find any change in the law of God. 62 People ask you about the Hour (of the great change). Say: "Only God has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may be close at hand." 63 God has cursed the unbelievers, and prepared for them a Blaze, 64 Wherein they will abide for ever. They will find (then) no protecting friend nor helper. 65 The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire, they will say: "Woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!" 66 And they say: Our Lord! Lo! we obeyed our princes and great men, and they misled us from the Way. 67 “Our Lord! Give them double the punishment of the fire and send upon them a mighty curse!” 68
