We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
