Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
