Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
