۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 that is surely no great matter for God. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike 19 Nor the darkness and the light, 20 The shade and the hot wind are not equal, 21 Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves. 22 You are only a bearer of warnings. 23 Verily We! We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner; and there is not a community but there hath passed among them a warner. 24 And if they give thee the lie - even so gave the lie to the truth [many of] those who lived before their time, [when] there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, and with books of divine wisdom, and with light-giving revelation; 25 So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then! 26
