We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
