NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
