Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
