NAY, but consider the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.
