In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
