The chiefs of Firon's people said: most surely this is an enchanter possessed of knowledge: 109 Who wants to expel you from your land [through magic], so what do you instruct?" 110 Then they advised Pharaoh: 'Put off Moses and his brother for a while, and send forth heralds to your cities 111 That they may bring to you every enchanter possessed of knowledge. 112 And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors. 113 He said, "Yes, and, [moreover], you will be among those made near [to me]." 114 They said: O Musa! either thou cast down, or we shall be the ones to cast down. 115 He said, "You throw [first]!" When they made their cast, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck them with awe, for they showed a great [feat of] magic. 116 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told. 117 ۞ whereupon the truth was established, and vain was proved all that they had been doing. 118 And thus were they vanquished there and then, and became utterly humiliated. 119 And down fell the sorcerers, prostrating themselves 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 the Lord of Moses and Aaron!" 122 Fir'awn said: believed ye in him ere I have given you leave? Verily this is a plot ye have plotted in the city that ye may drive forth the people thereof. So presently ye shall know. 123 I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then will I crucify you all together. 124 They answered: "Verily, unto our Sustainer do we turn 125 Will you punish us just because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us? Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance and cause us to die as those who have submitted [to You].' 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
