S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 What, out of all of us, has the Remembrance been sent down to him (Prophet Muhammad)' No, they are doubtful about My Remembrance, no, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your, (Muhammad's), Lord, the Majestic and Munificent God? 9 Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)! 10 [They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]. 11 Before them the nations of Noah, Aad and Pharaoh, and he of the tentpegs belied, 12 And (the tribe of) Thamud, and the folk of Lot, and the dwellers in the wood: these were the factions. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
