Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
