The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
