Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24
Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear. 100 Unto those [earlier] communities - some of whose stories We [now] relate unto thee - there had indeed come apostles of their own with all evidence of the truth; but they would not believe in anything to which they had once given the lie: thus it is that God seals the hearts of those who deny the truth; 101 We did not find the covenant upheld by the majority of them, but We found most of them evildoers. 102 Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them: So see what was the end of those who made mischief. 103 And Moosa said, “O Firaun! Indeed I am a Noble Messenger from the Lord Of The Creation.” 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you come with a sign, then produce it, if you are telling the truth." 106 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it turned into a real serpent. 107 And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white for the beholders. 108
