Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
