THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
