Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” – 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
