Everyone on it must pass away. 26 Only the Supreme Essence of your Glorious and Gracious Lord will remain forever. 27 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 28 Whosoever is in the heaven and earth ask Him. Every day He is upon an affair (He reveals according to His Eternal determination). 29 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 30 O you twain, who are a burden (on the earth), We shall attend to you and call you to account. 31 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 32 O company of jinn and men, if you have the power to go beyond the bounds of the heavens and the earth, go beyond them! Yet you will be unable to go beyond them for that requires infinite power. 33 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 34 On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have: 35 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 36 And when the sky is rent asunder and becomes red like [burning] oil 37 O which of our Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 38 So on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin, (because they have already been known from their faces either white or black). 39 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 40 (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 41 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 42 This is Gehenna, that sinners cried lies to; 43 they shall go round between it and between hot, boiling water. 44 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 45
