Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
