Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
