The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
