Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
