We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
