Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! 37 Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion." 38 And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom. 39 Can you make the deaf to hear, or show the blind, and those lost in clear error, the way? 40 But whether We do [or do not] take thee away [ere thy message prevails] - verily, We shall inflict Our retribution on them; 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 Follow devotedly that which is revealed to you. You are certainly on the right path. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
