The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
