Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
