And [yet,] they have a sign [of Our power to create and to resurrect] in the lifeless earth which We make alive, and out of which We bring forth grain, whereof they may eat; 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did not make it; will they not then be grateful? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
