Forgiver (Ghaafer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ha. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Knower. 2 Forgiver of trespasses, acceptor of repentance, severe of retribution, lord of power. There is no god but He. Towards Him is your destination. 3 None but the unbelievers dispute concerning the verses of Allah. So do not be deluded by their going to and fro in the land. 4 Before them, the people of Nooh and the groups after them had denied; and every nation intended to apprehend its Noble Messenger, and they fought along with falsehood to avert the truth, so I seized them; so how did My punishment turn out? 5 And thus did the word of your Lord prove true against those who disbelieved that they are the inmates of the fire. 6 Those who bear the Throne and those around it exalt with the praise of their Lord and believe in Him. They ask forgiveness for the believers (saying): 'Our Lord, You embrace all things in mercy and knowledge. Forgive those who repent and follow Your Way. Shield them against the punishment of Hell. 7 Our Lord, admit them to the everlasting Gardens You have promised them and those of their fathers and spouses and progeny that were righteous. Surely You alone are Most Mighty, Most Wise; 8 “And save them from the evil consequences of sins; and whomever You save from the evil consequences of sins on that Day – so You have indeed had mercy upon him; and this only is the greatest success.” 9
