Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
