The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
