The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Taught the Quran. 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
