Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
