What, are you stronger in constitution or the heaven He built? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 and He has made dark its night and brought forth its light of day. 29 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees 36 then he who transgressed 37 and prefers the life of this world, 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Your Lord alone knows when it will come; 44 Your duty is only to warn him who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46
