The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
