Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
