The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif-Laam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [which comes from their Sustainer]; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and ears; their sight is dimmed and for them is a great punishment. 7
