The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
